About Tybee Treasures
The recent Tybee Treasures Premiere celebrated the culmination of
a unique collaborative effort spearheaded by Tybee Island's
community service organizations. The "Tybee Treasures" video was
created through the efforts of Tybee Neighbors, Coordinating
Partner; the City of Tybee Island; Friends of the Tybee Theater;
Tybee Arts Association; Tybee Beautification Association; Tybee
Island Fine Arts Commission; Tybee Island Garden Club; Tybee
Island Historical Society; Tybee Island Marine Science Center;
Tybee Island Tourism Council; and the Tybee Island YMCA.
Contributions from community service organizations, businesses
and individuals covered the production costs. All local talent has
been contributed, including vocals by Cathy J. Sakas, NOAA Gray's
Reef National Marine Sanctuary; Sandy McCloud, Fox
Properties.com; and John O'Neill, Tybee Island Realty.
Script writing was courtesy of Cynthia Kinkel and Mallory Pearce
and the script editor was Cynthia Kinkel. Original Music and Lyrics
were contributed by Charlie Sherrill, from his DVD "With Love From
Tybee Island, ©2000 ("Highway 80" lyrics by J.R. Roseberry) .
Vocals were recorded courtesy of Jerry and Mike at WRHQ Q 105.3
in Savannah.
The Film was photographed, produced and edited by J.R. Reynolds
at www.videoman.tv. While funds were raised to cover his costs,
he also donated time to the project. Additional film footage was
donated courtesy of: NOAA Gray's Reef National Marine Sanctuary;
Tybee Island Tourism Council; High Tide Surf Shop;

The video is now being played at 9:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on
Cable Channel 7 and is for sale for $12 at the Tybee Light Station
Gift Shop and the following local art galleries: Atlantic Beacon
Gallery & Hall of Frames, Gallery by the Sea, and Irene Sullivan
Gallery. TV tent cards will soon be displayed in lodging facilities and
local businesses to encourage visitors to view the video.
Funds earned will be used to update the video in the future.
